Connecticut has elected to expand the Electrathon Challenge to two dates per season. The date for the Thirteenth Annual Spring CT Electrathon Challenge will tentatively be held on:Friday, May 09, 2014 —
The first Connecticut Electrathon Challenge was held on June 7, 2001.This is an excellent opportunity to have your students be involved in! Few educational programs tie as many academic areas together while allowing students to interact with mentors in the development and the construction of an energy efficient vehicle. The ability to compete against other schools in Connecticut and surrounding states is an additional rewarding educational experience. We are pleased and proud to announce that the Connecticut Electrathon Challenge will be held at Lime Rock Park. One of the premier road racing facilities in North America, Lime Rock Park has graciously granted the Electrathon Series the use of their facility to conduct the Electrathon Challenge. Nestled in the picturesque Northwest Hills of Connecticut, Lime Rock Park is like no other road racing facility in the country. From 1957 to present, Lime Rock Park is kept in pristine condition and is recognized as a park where you could bring the family, picnic, and enjoy a full day of racing while mingling with the drivers and crew members. Lime Rock Park is also home of the Skip Barber Racing School and visitors might be fortunate enough to see the team in action.
Chris Hurd and the Cazenovia High School team have taken the intiative to complete elevation and distance statistics for the Autocross course at Lime Rock Park. They have generously offered to share this information with all interested teams. Special Thanks to Cazenovia H.S!
